History and activities

Forecon Oy is an specialist company providing market analysis and forecasts for the construction industry. We help construction companies and industry stakeholders to understand market developments and make informed, data-driven decisions.

Although Forecon was founded in 2013, our roots go back to the 1970s, when a research unit dedicated to monitoring the construction market was established at VTT Technical Research Center of Finland. When the activities were transferred from VTT to Forecon, we continued this long-term work and further developed the monitoring and analysis of the construction market.

Today we monitor construction markets in Finland, the Baltic region and across Europe. Forecon represents Finland in the EUROCONSTRUCT network, which analyses and forecasts the development of construction throughout Europe.

Forecon is a part of Hubexo and serves as its leading Finnish provider of construction market data. Our sister companies Prognoscentret AB (Sweden), Prognosesenteret AS (Norway) and Prognosecenteret (Denmark) are the leading construction market analysts in their respective countries.
